How to start.
First of all you need to prepare your body for a lot of action. The muscles have to deliver the maximum of power. Off course you need the technique to do the obstacles. Pay attention to all your muscles and give every muscle and tendon the maximum amplitude from your head to the tip of your toe! The first thing to control is the rope climbing technique.
The best clothes are an old t-shirt and lycra pants. Old running shoes will do.
The first time when you go around just go with the instructor. First learn the rope climb technique.
A warming up of at least 20 to 30 minutes is necessary before your start the course.
Total length of the course is about 2,000 metre and goes up- and downhill.
The obstacles are spread over 4 levels of difficulty, like the colours on the alpine ski-hill's. Don't overdo things.
Level 1----> Green. If you control the rope climb technique and have enough endurance in your arms and hands and the rest of your body you can do it.
Level 2---->Blue. You need a good technique, enough power and you have to be a more experienced athlete.
Level 3---->Red. For experienced athletes who controls all the techniques.
Level 4---->Black. Only for all-round trained athletes.
After every couple of obstacles there is a run to relax your arms and hands.
The second run with a tree trunks to keep on your shoulder and try a slow jog. But run and don't walk.
Unexperienced athletes will get an arm bandage as a sign of having just the permit to do the green obstacles!
Give it a try!
